Specific Objectives

  • Position archives as a pillar of governance and transparency ;
  • Define strategic horizons: legal framework, digital, heritage, access;
  • Foster dialogue between decision-makers, researchers, and practitioners ;
  • Structure an integrated, modern, and inclusive national archives policy;
  • Promote archives as a common heritage and vector of sustainable development ;
  • Share experiences and best practices in public archives management ;
  • Establish an assessment of archival practice in Morocco;
  • Issue practical and feasible recommendations and suggestions relating to archives to meet current and future challenges ;
  • Stimulate inter-institutional cooperation between public administrations, researchers, local authorities, and international partners ;
  • Encourage the digital transition in the processing and preservation of archival collections.
